I was browsing around the internet and noticed that using paper to make boxes with pretty little designs was a surprisingly popular thing to do. So, I whipped out my huge box of unused scrap booking paper and finally put it to some good use, since I don't really scrapbook and tend to buy the paper just because it's pretty. Oh me! Anyhow, I love how they came out and thought they were pretty frickin' adorable. I may even do a youtube tutorial video of how you can do it yourself! I mean, it is easy to make and pretty fun to do with your kids or even your students for many of you awesome teachers out there! Anyhow, here's some photos!!

So, I thought with all my designs that I would make a Tim Burton inspired Save the Date invitation. It's very basic, very simple and not too over the top. Which I like, a lot. The front has a Nightmare Before Christmas inspired, hand drawn tree with 'Save the Date' Nightmare Before Christmas font labeled cleanly on the front, and then when you turn it over, it says Sally and Jack, with their set-to-be wedding date. Now, do bare in mind, obviously the couples names aren't really going to be Sally and Jack, this is just an example. Enjoy! :)

I recently was talking with a friend of mind who has been doing a lot of Video Blogging. With that, I noticed he plugged Paper Antler in one of his videos today a few hours ago, by request. This, I can't express enough, makes me incredibly happy. Thank you so much, Joseph! Your support is a million times appreciated!

I just thought I would write another update on my progress and include a few photographs. I feel that as well as myself, you will be very pleased with the outcome of this project. It's getting closer and closer to the finishing and I can't say without joy that I am completely excited to get this up on Etsy for the world to see.

I added a few things, some fastener snaps, hemp string and acrylic beads. This is just a rough draft project, once I have every single one of my supplies needed to create a full project I will design a final hard copy and put it up for sale on my website. So, some things still need adjusting and editing on this demo. I was actually surprised at how hard putting the snaps on were. I thought I could get away by using some pliers and just bending the metal into place but, apparently I needed a hammer, hah. The hemp and beads were tedious, but nothing I'm not used to dealing with. It's annoying, but the outcome is so rewarding. Have a look!

And on a brighter note, as most of you know, or may not know - it's my 21st birthday next month: February 20th - to be exact. Anthropologie was kind enough to send me a lovely birthday present today; 15% off my next total purchase in February. Looks like I'm doing some birthday shopping for myself next month. Fun!

The past few days I have been working on a new wedding invitation design. And while it was very exhausting, to say the least, my printer was being incredibly and completely uncooperative - I'm glad to say I've finally got it working right and can move on with my designs. I've been cooped up in my office trying to hustle some work together to get ready for my mass opening on Etsy and so far I've got a wide range of fun and useful things for you all.

I took some photographs of my progress with my current wedding invitation design. Although I'm missing a couple of materials, which I will pick up tomorrow - and am still waiting for my stock order to be delivered to my home, until then I won't have this project completely done. My estimated finish date was to be January 24th, 2012; but it looks like it may be a little bit longer than that, unfortunately. With that being said, here's a few photographs of what's currently in the works. Enjoy!
